Performance Review Privacy Statement

The University of Calgary is collecting your personal information under the authority of section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) for the purpose of administering the employee performance evaluation program. This collection is targeted at University of Calgary employees and is necessary to evaluate your job performance, provide feedback, and support professional development. The types of personal information collected include your name, position, employee and supervisor comments, and performance-related data. Your personal information may be used internally by People and Culture and your supervisor for performance management and development purposes. It will not be disclosed externally unless required by law. The information will be stored securely in accordance with university privacy and security standards. It will not be used in any automated system to generate decisions, recommendations, or predictions (e.g., AI or machine learning systems).
