To comply with the Alberta Government’s Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act (2015), the University of Calgary must disclose the name, position, compensation, non-monetary benefits and severance for all employees whose total compensation, plus severance, exceeds an annual threshold. UCalgary’s Board of Governors are volunteers, with no remuneration and members have no compensation to disclose. There are two disclosure publications per year: one on or before June 30 reporting compensation paid in the previous calendar year and the other on or before December 31 for severances paid or became entitled to between January 1 and June 30 of the current calendar year.
