MyCreds™ provides you with fast and easy access to your transcripts, graduation awards, credentials, badges and other academic documents. Through MyCreds™  you can request official documents and send them to employers, government offices and others.


Requesting an eTranscript through MyCreds

  1. If you have the email notification MyCreds™ sent when the document was issued:

    Follow the link in the email notification and log in with your UCalgary username and password.

  2. If you don’t have the email notification MyCreds™ sent when the document was issued:

    Go to the MyCreds Education Provider sign in page. Choose “University of Calgary” from the institution drop down menu, and then log in with your UCalgary username and password.

All MyCreds™ notifications for current students will be sent to your UCalgary email address.

If you're an alumni or former student and/or you no longer have an active UCalgary email account, the notification will be sent to the email address you verified when you submitted your transcript request.

When you start your order in your Student Centre (my.ucalgary.ca), the contact information box will display the email address that the MyCreds™ notifications will be sent to. Verify that the email address(es) is correct before you submit any orders through your Student Centre for an electronic document.

How to update or add a home email address.

Start by checking the status of your transcript order in your Student Centre (my.ucalgary.ca). Once the Transcript Processing Status for your order is completed, you can access your document directly from the MyCreds™ platform, even if you don’t have the email notification.

Once your processing status is completed, you can access your eTranscript by navigating to the MyCreds Education Provider sign in page. Select “University of Calgary” from the drop down menu, and then log in with your UCalgary username and password.

Even If you don’t have the MyCreds™ email notification, you can access your documents by navigating to the MyCreds Education Provider sign in page. Select “University of Calgary” from the drop down menu, and log in with your UCalgary username and password.

When I try to log in to the MyCreds™ Learner Portal to access my document, I receive a message that I need to install a Google Authenticator app and use two-factor authentication. What does that mean?

Two-factor authentication is required for UCalgary students when logging in to access specific applications, including the MyCreds™ Learner Portal.. Two-factor authentification provides a second level of security for your UCalgary account. Here’s how you enable it:

Use your UCalgary username and password when you log in to MyCreds™ Learner Profile to access and/or share your official UCalgary electronic documents.

You're can add information to your profile within the MyCreds™ Learner Profile. Any password or information you use in the MyCreds™ Learner Profile will not change your UCalgary username or password.

  1. Download and install the Google Authenticator app

    Follow the instructions to download and install the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone, then click the Next button on the screen where you’re logging into the MyCreds™  Learner Portal.

  2. Set up a new account

    In Google Authenticator, choose the option to set up a new account.

  3. Scan the QR code

    Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code on your screen to complete the two-factor set up process and enter the verification code from the Google Authenticator app.

  4. Enter the verification code

    Once the setup is complete, click Continue.  You’ll be prompted for the verification code. Enter the code from the Google Authenticator app to log in. Then visit the MyCreds™ Learner Portal to access your documents.

Authenticity of Transcripts

Yes, it is. Documents issued through MyCreds™ contain digital signatures that meet the legal requirements of certified digital documents in countries around the world. When you share documents with third parties through the MyCreds™ portal, these digital signatures ensure it’s an authentic document issued by the University of Calgary.

eTranscripts are official only when they bear the Blue Ribbon symbol and a valid digital certification issued by GlobalSign CA for Adobe.

A document is only considered an official, trusted document if a recipient receives it within an email sent by MyCreds™. The URL will begin with https://learner.mycreds.ca.

A transcript routed to a recipient from an individual’s personal email is not official.

  1. When you view the document through the MyCreds portal, you should see:

    1. The document status says Available
    2. The document has the certified Blue Ribbon symbol
    3. You can view the certificate information

When shared through the MyCreds™ platform, the official transcript (eTranscript) is authentic, tamper-evident and legally valid. Documents issued through MyCreds™ contain digital signatures that meet the legal requirements of certified digital documents in countries around the world. When you share your documents with third parties through the MyCreds portal, these digital signatures ensure their authenticity.

MyCreds stores your documents securely and your data remains under UCalgary’s control. You control who you share your documents with. The underlying MyCreds™  systems have been independently tested by security experts. Learn more on the MyCreds™ website.

Alumni

This message appears because current and former UCalgary students all log in to the MyCreds™ Learner Portal with their UCalgary username and password. The message doesn’t prevent you from accessing or sharing a document. As soon as you click OK on the message, you can access your profile settings in MyCreds™ and update the primary email address for your MyCreds™ profile to your preferred email address. When this update is complete, you’ll no longer see the popup message when you log in in to the MyCreds™ Learner Portal.

If you don't know your student (UCID) number, contact Enrolment Services to get it.

If you graduated after 2016, you can simply reset your IT account here. 

If you graduated prior to 2016, you can create an eID and login to your alumni portal here

As long as you know your student (UCID) number, you can create an eID and access your my.ucalgary.ca student/almuni portal. 

If you don't know your student (UCID) number, contact Enrolment Services to get it.

Receiving Institutions

You’ll see a document verification failure message when you access the link if a document has been revoked, or the share has expired or been disabled by the student.
