eParchments

Official eParchments are loaded into your MyCreds™ digital wallet on the MyCreds.ca portal. The eParchment will become available one month following your convocation (or conferral date), allowing you to securely access and share your digital document. It will remain FREE to download and share with anyone who requires it.

Along with your parchment, you’ll also receive a digital version of your official credential, your eParchment, issued through MyCreds™ | MesCertif™, Canada’s digital credential platform.

Your eParchment will be sent to your University of Calgary email via a notification from MyCreds within one month of your convocation (or conferral date). Watch for an email from MyCreds™ | MesCertif™ (noreply@mycreds.ca) with instructions on how to access your eParchment.

Accessing your parchment

Step 1: Check your UCalgary email

We’ll send your eParchment to your @ucalgary.ca student email once it’s been uploaded to the MyCreds platform. Make sure to check your inbox—and your spam or junk folder—so you don’t miss it!

Step 2: Create your MyCreds wallet

Follow the link in the MyCreds email to access your MyCreds digital wallet, where your eParchment is stored securely. The first time you log in, you’ll be asked to set up your account.

Tip: Use your UCalgary email for your first login to ensure it links to your credential.

Step 3: Link your personal email

Since access to your UCalgary email will eventually end, we recommend linking a personal email address to your MyCreds account. This ensures continued access to your eParchment whenever you need it—for job applications, grad school, licensing, and more.

How to link your personal email:

  1. Log in to your MyCreds wallet.
  2. Go to account settings.
  3. Add your personal email address under linked accounts.
  4. Verify the email and set it as your primary login for future access.

Your credential is protected and can be shared securely with employers, institutions, and licensing bodies—all directly from your MyCreds wallet.

Frequently asked questions

Currently, eParchments are only available for those who have graduated since 2022 and have been automatically issued an eParchment.  We hope to have the ability for past graduates to order their eParchment very soon!

The University only uses the legal name of a student on the parchment. See section B.16 Change of Personal Information for more information. Names are printed in upper case lettering in the following order: Given Name(s) and Surname. The use of an initial in place of a given name is not permitted. Any changes to the name currently on file with the Registrar’s Office must be supported by approved documentation.

Your eParchment is issued based on the same official records as your physical parchment, so it should not contain any errors.

If you notice incorrect information, please first review your official student record to confirm its accuracy. If you have recently updated your legal name and ordered and paid for a degree reprint through the Office of the Registrar, you can contact the Convocation Office at convocation@ucalgary.ca to request an updated eParchment.

Please note: Your eParchment will only be updated once your name change has been processed and a reprinted parchment has been issued.

For more information on updating your name or ordering a reprint, visit the Graduation Documents page.

All graduates still receive an official paper parchment as part of the graduation process. If you attend your convocation ceremony, your parchment will be presented to you in person. If you are not attending, it will be mailed or made available for pickup based on the delivery option you selected when applying to graduate.

The eParchment is an added digital convenience—a secure, easily shareable version of your credential—but it does not replace your paper parchment.

For more information on parchment delivery options, visit the Graduation and Credentials page.

Minors, approved concentrations and undergraduate specializations will not be indicated on degrees but will be noted on the official transcript.

Use of information and privacy

By requesting or sharing your eParchment, you agree to allow UCalgary to share your legal name, student ID, email address, full academic record and official transcript with MyCreds™. All personal information that’s collected is used, stored, and destroyed in accordance with the University of Calgary Privacy Policy.
