Gustavo Queiroz

Biography

Since his undergraduate degree in geology, Gus has been interested in scientific research and computer programming applied to geographical information systems. Gus came to Canada from Brazil for a one-year exchange program at the University of Calgary, where he also worked as a research assistant in the geography department. Realizing his love for Calgary, Gus returned to UCalgary to do a Master of Science in Geography with a focus in remote sensing and machine learning. Gus is a big believer in open-source software and participates in game-making marathons every year.
