Biography
Rowan graduated from Morden Collegiate Institute in Morden, MB. During her time there, she worked to organize her town’s chapter of Cycling Without Age, an organization that gives bike rides to seniors. She also built a functional
Rowan chose to study at UCalgary because she wanted to move somewhere new, and she felt the university had a good emphasis on academics and wellness.
Rowan is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science – Engineering program because she had always wanted to build and create new things.
Rowan wants to major in Mechanical Engineering so that she can someday work in the energy industry.
The Prestige Award allows Rowan to focus on her studies without the financial stress of tuition and provided her the opportunity to make new connections with other scholars that she wouldn’t have otherwise.
