This scholarship program is sponsored by The Canadian Academy of Engineering and the Society of Automotive Engineers, through the generous support of Mr. Bruce R. Aubin, ing, FCAE. Mr. Aubin, retired after 40 years of service with Air Canada. He has been widely recognized in the field of Air Transportation for his initiatives and contribution to the operation of commercial aircraft and the safety of flight. In particular, he was instrumental in revising aircraft maintenance procedures which are still used in aircraft certification to-day. He has dedicated over 50 years of service to the advancement of aerospace engineering. Mr. Aubin was extremely active in the SAE, holding leadership positions such as Chair of the SAE Aerospace Program Office, serving as the 1993 SAE President and subsequently President of the SAE Foundation Canada. He was instrumental in establishing the CAE Scholarship program.

Award description

  • Only students who are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents of Canada and currently enrolled in an engineering degree program that is accredited by the CEAB or, in the case of new programs is seeking CEAB accreditation. CAEB accredits undergraduate engineering programs.
