  1. Choose your first-choice and second-choice programs

    Review our program descriptions and identify your top two program choices.

    Check the admission requirements for both programs and choose a program with a lower competitive admission average as your second choice.

  3. Complete your online application based on your most recent studies

    Using the tabs below, select either "Studied in Canada" or "Studied outside of Canada" for undergraduate admission. If you're not applying to a degree program, select "Open Studies." Next, you'll follow the steps to apply.

  4. Review the checklist of items required in addition to your application

    Log in to your myUCalgary account to review your Student Centre checklist. Common checklist items include paying your application fee, English language proficiency requirements, or additional documents and requirements needed.

Using the tabs below, select "Studied in Canada," "Studied outside of Canada" or "Open Studies" and follow the steps to apply.

Follow these steps to complete your application

  1. Create an ApplyAlberta account

    Beginning Oct. 1, you can start your application on the ApplyAlberta website, complete your profile, and select the "University of Calgary."

  2. Create or enter your eID

    As part of the application, you'll be asked to enter or create your UCalgary eID.

  3. Complete your application

    In your ApplyAlberta account, review and update your personal and academic information. Click here to access our application walkthrough.

  4. Submit your application

    You must submit your ApplyAlberta application for review, and select a way to pay your $125 application fee.

  5. Submit required documents

    Based on your application, we'll let you know how and where to submit any required documents. For more information, click here.

Follow these steps to complete your application

    Beginning Sept. 30, you can start your application and follow the steps to create a UCalgary eID.

  2. Complete your application

    In your ApplyAlberta account, review and update your personal and academic information. Click here to access our application walkthrough

    You must submit your application for review, and pay the $125 non-refundable application fee ($145 if you have international credentials)

Supporting documents

If you’ve studied in Alberta, the University of Calgary will obtain transcripts on your behalf from the Ministry of Education.

If you’ve studied outside Alberta, it’s your responsibility to request transcripts from any non-Alberta institutions to be sent to directly to the university’s admissions office.

We'll be accepting applications to attend the University of Calgary in fall 2019 starting on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018. You'll be able to submit an application until Friday, March 1, 2019.
