Documents and transcripts

What makes a transcript official?

Official transcripts are documents sent directly to the admissions office from institutions maintaining such records, such as the Department of Education, or national examination board. Official transcripts can be sent by mail or electronically through certain secure electronic delivery services, such as Parchment, e-Script-Safe, MyCreds or National Student Clearinghouse.

Official transcripts must be sent from your school or government agency directly to the Admissions Office before the final transcript deadlines to finalize your admission offer.

Unofficial transcripts can be used for an admission evaluation and can be uploaded in your Student Centre.

Please note: Transcripts received by the admissions office become the property of the University of Calgary and can't be returned or forwarded to other institutions.
