The Prairie Meteorite Search

The Prairie Meteorite Search is led by Alan Hildebrand (Department of Geoscience, University of Calgary) Peter Brown (Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Western Ontario) and Martin Beech (Department of Physics, University of Regina). The Prairie Searchers:

May 11, 2007 - First Canadian meteorite of 2007 discovered

During 2006 the Prairie Meteorite Search identified three new meteorites, one from British Columbia and two from Manitoba.

December 19, 2006 - BC man finds iron meteorite near Whistler, BC

During 2005 the Prairie Meteorite Search identified three new meteorites, one from Alberta and two from Manitoba.
