Biography
My passion to consistently learn has driven me to pursue studies in Computer Science and Business through which I gain opportunities to strengthen both my interpersonal and analytical skills.
As my ethnic identity plays a significant role in my community involvement, my passion to learn and share my learnings is reflected in my role as a volunteer Punjabi Teacher at the Sikh Society of Calgary. As an active volunteer teacher, I give back to the community that helped nurture my identity as a second-generation Canadian by teaching children how to read/write using the Gurmukhi script.
In terms of on-campus involvement, my participation in the global Technovation program in high school and my foundation in mathematics sprouted my interdisciplinary interest in learning about how technology is used to support businesses from a financial perspective. In pursuit of these interests, I have competed in intercollegiate case competitions and have been an active member of the Women in Science & Engineering Society at UCalgary. I am also an undergraduate member of Dr. Mea Wang's Multimedia and Networks Research Lab.
