Rhodes Scholarships Information Session

In July, we hosted an online information session for UCalgary students to share more about the Rhodes Scholarship program, review the application process and answer any questions you may have.

Co-facilitators

Dr. Christian Farrier, current Rhodes Scholar (Prairies and Balliol) Reading for DPhil Primary Care at the University of Oxford, and Pediatrics Resident at the University of Calgary. Christian is also a graduate of the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary.

Dr. Jared Secord, Ph.D., current Scholars Academy Coordinator at UCalgary's Student Success Centre. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Calgary in Business, Ancient & Medieval History, and Greek & Roman Studies. He also has a Ph.D. in Greek & Roman History from the University of Michigan.

If you’re looking for suggestions and advice about your CV and Personal Statement responses for the Rhodes or McCall MacBain Scholarships, please consider attending one of the workshop. The workshop provides suggestions about how to put together an effective CV and personal statement, including a template for a CV that will fit on one or two pages.

Applications for the 2024 Rhodes Scholarships

All applicants must be endorsed by their post-secondary institution before applying to the Regional Rhodes Canada Competition. Inquiries can be directed to sap@ucalgary.ca

The UCalgary internal deadline for the 2023-2024 cycle is August 13, 2023.
