Biography
João is an international student from Brazil. In his home country, he co-founded an NGO that provided English lessons for public school students. At the University of Calgary, he co-founded the Brazilian Student Association (BRASA). João is looking forward to developing a deeper understanding of financial markets, valuation, portfolio management, and equity research throughout his undergraduate degree. He is working towards a finance degree, a minor in economics, and is part of the Calgary Portfolio Management Trust (CPMT) program. Previously, João completed a part-time internship at Pivotal Capital Advisory Group and concluded a Summer Internship at Stone Co. in the Software M&A division.
Throughout his undergraduate degree, João aims to explore the nexus between finance, social impact, and education.
