Biography

"Passionate about conquering barriers within education to enhance accessibility for all learners"

Jasmine is recognized for her bubbly personality and profound curiosity for the world around her. She has had the privilege of being trained in multiple forms of competitive dance, she has studied three different musical instruments, and has competed (and won!) at the provincial level for her distinguished talent in writing and performing slam poetry.

As a Multidisciplinary Studies major, she has had the pleasure of taking a diverse set of courses, ranging from Biology to Gender and Sexuality Studies. She is looking forward to starting her intensive training in Inclusive Education next year, and has been interested in this type of specialization since she was a child.

Working with children, specifically those with special needs, has always come naturally for Jasmine. She has worked as a Developmental Aide, a Community Aide, a Homeschool Tutor to a neurodivergent child, and most recently has embarked upon her journey as a Child Development Specialist at a local preschool.

In addition to working and being a full-time student, Jasmine spends her time serving the greater University of Calgary community by organizing social events for the Psychology Undergraduate Students' Association (PSYCHS), and she is an active member on two Students' Union (SU) Committees.

Finally, Jasmine is an avid consumer of fiction books (specifically psychological thrillers), a sushi connoisseur, and a loving cat-mom.
