Dr. Elizabeth Cannon, President-elect, University of Calgary and Dean, Schulich School of Engineering
We can take this university to new heights
Dr. Elizabeth Cannon has been closely linked to the University of Calgary for nearly three decades. First as a student, then as a faculty member, Dean of the Schulich School of Engineering and, now, as the incoming President of the University of Calgary.
Elizabeth says she’s constantly impressed by the energy that is generated on the campus by the talented and focused individuals who work and study here.
As she takes on her new role as President this year, Elizabeth says she’s inspired by the rich traditions and strong reputation of the University, and is excited about the opportunity to help position the university for future success.
“I believe in this university, and I believe that the possibilities for the University of Calgary are powerful indeed.”
