Operating Model I Overview
The Institutional Data Governance Operating Model of Roles and Responsibilities is comprised of different specialized groups of people, each with different levels of authority, responsibility, and subject matter expertise. All work together with the purpose of managing, growing, and sustaining data governance at the University of Calgary. The framework (pyramid) is shown below. Tactical and Operational Levels
Information Stewards and subject matter experts with university-level knowledge of data areas/domains, and, oversee life cycle of data within their business unit.
Support Level groups and the Data Governance Administrator assist all levels of data governance.
