The Provost and Vice-President (Academic) provides leadership, oversight, direction and linkages across a broad spectrum of university operations, including long-range academic and institutional planning, academic operations, student experience, and budgeting and reporting. The Provost also acts as a leader and champion for scholarly pursuits, teaching, learning and interdisciplinary education and together, with the Vice-President (Research) are responsible for the implementation of the 2023-30 Academic and Research Plans that are the roadmaps to our Ahead of Tomorrow vision. They drive discovery, creativity and innovation across our campuses and within our community. These plans outline the priorities, strategies and goals that will help the University of Calgary be recognized as one of Canada’s top five research universities.
