With ucalgarycares, you can get involved with important social issues around the world.
Learning by serving
With ucalgarycares, you can learn about important social issues through working with community organizations in a meaningful way.
Community development in Costa Rica? Global Leadership in Toronto? Food Security in New Orleans? If these sound like something you’d be interested in, then check out ucalgarycares.
When you join our campus in September, you’ll have the chance to try a ucalgarycares day of service, which is a great opportunity to try out service learning — but sign up early, space is limited and the program fills up fast! If you want to read first-hand about our student’s experiences, visit the ucalgarycares blog.
Even if ucalgarycares isn’t for you, getting involved in the university community is one of the most important things you can do (besides attending class). Not only will it provide you with experiential learning opportunities, you’ll also make new friends and connections along the way. Make your university experience rich and memorable by diving into activities that you find fulfilling. If you are not sure what to do, ask other students, our student life coordinator, academic advisors or your professors and you're sure to find something that will interest you.
