We Have Two Locations: Main and West Campus

UCCCS offers an inclusive program with a variety of activities and play centres available to the children each day. Our dedicated Educators focus on Emergent Curriculum when planning for the children’s development. Our environments are Reggio-inspired and we follow FLIGHT: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework. We plan with the children’s diverse interests, needs, and abilities in mind when planning developmentally appropriate activities.

Our year round program offers full day child care with nutritious meals including a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack each day.

Main Campus

Main Campus

The Main Campus Child Care Centre gives priority to the full time students of University of Calgary. We offer full time childcare for children aged three months to five years of full time students who apply to our wait list.

We have seven classrooms to meet the needs of our minimum 86 children in the centre:

  • Two infant age classrooms:
    • 3 to 12 months
    • 12 to 18 months
  • Two toddler aged classrooms:
    • 19 months to approximately 26 months
    • approximately 26 months to approximately 35 months
  • One 3 year old room
  • One 4 year old room
  • One 4 1/2 to 5 year old room to meet the needs of families who have children attending kindergarten off site or for children who need one more year to grow before kindergarten starts.

please note: * Families attending a kindergarten program offsite must transport their own children to and from kindergarten and the child care centre as well as enter the classroom to sign their child(ren) in and out of care *

West Campus

West Campus

The West Campus Child Care Centre gives priority to the full time staff/faculty of University of Calgary. We offer full time childcare for children aged three months to five years of full time staff/faculty who apply to our wait list.

We have eight classrooms to meet the needs of our minimum 108 children in the centre:

  • Two infant age classrooms
    • 3 months to 12 months
    • 12 months to 18 months
  • Two toddler aged classrooms
    • 19 months to approximately 26 months
    • approximately 26 months to approximately 35 months
  • One 3 year old room
  • One 4 year old room
  • Two five year old classes

*please note:  to be enrolled in one of the two five year old classes, your child(ren) must be registered for childcare and your child(ren) must also be enrolled in UCCC West's Private Kindergarten program.  UCCC has both am and pm kindergarten classes on-site that can accommodate 19 children per class.  The cost of 5 year old/ kindergarten aged child care includes child care services on all non-school days that UCCC is open between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm.
