What Makes a Great Name

  • Shows UCalgary pride or spirit
  • Short (they will be displayed on a new front license plate on each), catchy, and easy to remember
  • Has lasting appeal, so it still fits years from now
(e.g. avoid controversial/divisive language, dates, trends, slang, innuendo, etc.)
  • Feels welcoming, fun, and campus-appropriate
  • No infringe on any existing trademarks

Who Can Enter

All UCalgary students, faculty, and staff are invited to join in. If campus life, Calgary’s spirit, or the tech sparks an idea, we want to see it.
