Instructions to Authors

Instructions for preparation of the manuscripts in the form of a checklist and a sample manuscript (as MS-Word template) are available for downloading. To download the required files, please click on Manuscript Guidelines, Manuscript Checklist and Abstract Only Page. Papers must be received at the ACMBS-IV Conference Office by March 15, 2004 at the latest. An electronic version of the paper and the "Abstract Only Page", in MS Word format, must be submitted as e-mail attachments to melbadry@ucalgary.ca. Also, two printed copies of the manuscript must be submitted for review. Please send the printed copies by mail to the Conference Secretariat.

A Copyright Transfer Form must also be completed, signed and sent by mail or by fax to the Conference Secretariat.

All manuscripts will be reviewed by the International Scientific Committee for adherence to manuscript preparation requirements, quality of technical content, and conformity of contents to the conference objectives. Authors will be notified of acceptance of their manuscript, rejection, or modifications needed for its acceptance by April 30, 2004, and will have until May 21, 2004, to make any necessary modifications. Final revised version of the manuscripts must be received at the Conference Office by May 21, 2004 at the latest.

We hope that no modifications will be necessary. Some of the abstracts reviewed by the committee contained stylistic, grammatical, or spelling errors. In order to maintain the highest possible quality in the proceedings, and to relieve the burden on the reviewers, please take the necessary steps to minimize such errors.

There has been an outstanding response to the call for papers. Due to the large number of abstracts received, each author will be allowed to make a maximum of TWO presentations only. If you are the author or co-author of more than two papers you must choose which two papers you will present and which paper(s) your co-author(s) will present. For a paper to be included in the technical program and to appear in the conference proceedings, submission must be accompanied by a $200 (Canadian) non-refundable deposit for each manuscript. Only one $200 deposit will be deducted from the registration fee of the Author/Speaker. Please note that students presenting a paper must pay full registration fee. Please submit a Contributed Paper Form along with the $200 deposit for each paper to Conference Concepts.
