  1. Choose your first- and second-choice program and check admission requirements

    Review our program descriptions and identify your top two program choices. Check the admission requirements for both programs and choose a program with a lower competitive admission average as your second choice.

  2. Review the checklist of items required in addition to your application

    Login to your my UCalgary account to review your Student Centre checklist. Common checklist items include paying your application fee, English Language Proficiency requirements, or additional documents and requirements needed.

  3. Apply online

    Using the tabs below, select the one that best applies to you: “Studied in Canada,” “Studied outside of Canada,” or “Open Studies” and then follow the steps to apply.

Follow these steps to complete your application

  1. Create an ApplyAlberta account

    Beginning Oct. 1, you can start your application on the ApplyAlberta website, complete your profile, and select the "University of Calgary."

  2. Create or enter your eID

    As part of the application, you'll be asked to enter or create your UCalgary eID.

  3. Complete your application

    In your ApplyAlberta account, review and update your personal and academic information.

  4. Submit your application

    You must submit your ApplyAlberta application for review, and select a way to pay your $125 application fee.

  5. Submit required documents

    Based on your application, we'll let you know how and where to submit any required documents.

Follow these steps to complete your application

  2. Complete your application

    Complete your online application including your personal and academic information.

  3. Submit your application

    You must submit your application for review, and select a way to pay your $145 application fee. 

  4. Submit required documents

    Based on your application, we'll let you know how and where to submit any required documents.

English Language Proficiency Requirement

You may be required to provide proof of English language proficiency as part of your application for admission to the UCalgary.  To view our English language proficiency requirements, visit the University Calendar for more information.

Join our community in fall 2018

We'll be accepting applications to attend the University of Calgary in fall 2018 starting on Sunday, October 1, 2017. You'll be able to submit an application until Thursday, March 1, 2018.
