Your major

The term major refers to the subject area you’d like your degree to focus on. You would’ve indicated this when you applied for admission, and it would’ve been confirmed in your admission offer letter.

To confirm your major:

  • Access your Student Centre by logging in to You’ll use the eID and password you created when you first started your admission application.
  • In the "My Applications" box, click on "status" to see your faculty and major program.

Choosing a major?

Many students will make changes to their program over the course of their academic career, whether it is changing faculties, changing their major within their faculty, or adding a minor or second major.

If you’re still not sure about your program selection, visit the Student Success Centre for resources on choosing a major.
