Last week, Campus Security received a surprise visit from some students who wanted to recognize the team for all of their hard work. This keen group of students took a unique approach, arriving with cinnamon buns and a card to thank Campus Security for “keeping their buns safe.”

Here are some bike safety and security tips to help you stay safe on the road:

  • Dismount bike when using a crosswalk
  • When riding on roadway, stop at stop sign and obey all other traffic control devices (no different than a motor vehicle)
  • Always wear a helmet when riding
  • Use lights/reflectors when riding at night
  • Ride at appropriate speed and be considerate of pedestrians
  • Use a good quality U-Lock when parking your bike and ensure it is properly affixed
