Certain courses are offered during fall and winter term Block Weeks. Block Week courses are typically senior level (300 and above), and run the first week of each term before regular-term lectures begin (see Important Dates).
The following courses at the University of Calgary are considered high demand and therefore have registration restrictions that apply to them. These registration restrictions affect two specific groups of students: Open Studies Non-Degree students and students who are repeating high demand courses.
You can search in your Student Centre to find block week courses. See below for more informaiton.
Course registration for continuing students will begin in mid-June 2013. Once the course schedule is available, you can find Block Week courses for Fall 2013 through your Student Centre by doing the following:
PLEASE NOTE: First-year students are not eligible for block week courses in their initial Fall term, as it conflicts with Fall Orientation Week.

The last day to drop a Block Week Course (without it appearing on the student's transcript) is the end of the first day of lectures during Block Week.
The last day to withdraw from Block Week courses is Saturday, September 7, 2013 for the Fall term, and Tuesday, January 7, 2014 for the Winter term.
