Biography

I was introduced to the world of business through my first professional office job working as a legal assistant at a law firm in Northwest Calgary. The firm’s mission was to provide high quality legal services to members of the Punjabi community through offering clients the ability to converse with the legal team in both English and Punjabi. From this experience, I furthered my professional skills, developed a stronger interest in business, and most importantly, had the opportunity to break down cultural and language barriers by providing critical legal services to members of the visible minority.

As I entered university, I was inspired to find initiatives that would allow me to further my business skills and provide community support. I joined the DeNovo Student Investment Fund, a student-run asset management initiative that provides students with fundamental technical skills required for a career in capital markets. I began working as a Teaching Assistant for a finance course at the Haskayne School of Business to provide instruction and individual support to students to help further their understanding of finance topics.

As I continue my studies, I hope to pursue additional social impact initiatives and continue to provide community support.
