  • Supporting players set up, each with a ball, in a square or circle formation around working players
  • A small box made of four cones is set in the centre of the circle
  • Working players run to perform one-touch passes with supporting players, selecting to receive the ball from a different supporting player each time
  • After passing back to supporting player, working players should turn and accelerate into the box in the centre
  • Players perform a change of direction in the box, accelerating out of the box into a new direction to receive the pass from another supporting player
  • This drill should be performed at high intensity
  • Making contact with other players when traversing through the centre box
    • Cue "Keep your head up"
  • Working players moving in a circle
    • Cue “Exit the box from a different side than the one you came in”
  • Turns and 'opening up' movements train the vestibulo ocular system
  • Chaos in the centre box challenges spatial awareness
  • Incorporates acceleration and change of direction movements
  • Sport-specific drill prepares players for the session
  • Higher-intensity drill to increase heart and breathing rates prior to the beginning of the practice/game
