  • Players will push off and glide forward in a straight line for as long as they can
  • Maintain knee alignment over ankle
  • Keep torso upright and positioned straight ahead
  • Keep stick on ice
  • Knee collapsing inward
  • Raising stick off of the ice surface
  • Leaning to either side
  • Single-leg glides are useful for hockey players to maintain good knee control and ankle stability.
  • Helps maintain a strong foot/ankle position to ensure movement occurs forward (and not to either side).
