  • Keep neutral head/neck position throughout the exercise "Stand up tall"
  • Slight bend of knees when landing
  • Arms are straight and reach up overhead

Variations include:

  • Moving forward
  • Moving backward
  • Arms moving up and down in front of body (sagittal plane) rather than out to sides
  • Legs moving forward and back (sagittal plane) rather than out to sides
  • Lazy arms
    • Cue "Reach up to the sky"
  • Stiff knees on landing
    • Cue "Soft bend at knees"
  • Increases heart rate and breathing rates
  • Practices safe landing technique
  • Develops coordination
  • Shoulder mobility
