1.5 FCE - Options (science options are recommended)

Notes:

  • These 4.0 FCE non-science courses are selected from Faculties other than the Faculty of Science (see Table I, 3.4 Program Requirements for courses that may not be used to satisfy this requirement). Of these 4.0 FCE, students must take at least 1.0 FCE from the Faculty of Arts (see (d) Breadth requirement in 3.4 Program Requirements).
  • The Major program may contain a maximum of 10 FCE from the field of Geophysics, and the Honours program may contain a maximum of 12 FCE from the field of Geophysics.
  • 600-level courses are available to fourth year students with prerequisites and consent of the Department.
  • The Majors and Honours programs in Geophysics meet the current academic requirements for professional registration with APEGA.
Required Courses - Honours Program

Commencing in Fall 2014, Geology 343 will replace Geology 341 and Geophysics 351 will replace Geophysics 359 as the core departmental courses for Majors and Honours students and will serve as a prerequisite for the appropriate courses.
