Read with us! Free preview of Common Reading Program book online

Now in its fourth year, the University of Calgary’s Common Reading Program is hoping to expand its readership to anyone involved with the campus community by offering free digital access to the first three chapters of the book.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to read along with our incoming undergraduate and graduate students, and engage in common conversations along the themes of this year’s Common Reading Program selection, Misfit: Changemaker With an Edge by Andreas Souvaliotis.

Outreach program expands to the Yukon, Namibia and Nicaragua

This year, the ucalgarycares service learning program has spread around the world, going further and farther than ever before.

For the first time, undergraduate and graduate students have the opportunity to participate in newly created service learning projects in Nicaragua, a First Nations community in the Yukon, and an informal settlement in Namibia.
