An upcoming series of workshops geared to Graduate students will focus on Academic writing. Each session will feature a panel of distinguished faculty who will share their knowledge and experience on writing for and publishing academic works.

  • Writing for and Speaking to Non-Academic Audiences: May 7, 1:00-2:30, TFDL 440 A/D
  • Writing Academic Publications that Get Published (Science and Engineering): May 8, 1:00-2:30, TFDL 440 A/D
  • Writing Academic Publications that Get Published (Arts and Social Sciences): May 9, 1:00-2:30, TFDL 440 A/D

ucalgarycares in Costa Rica

University of Calgary students travel to Costa Rica to take part in a service learning project. Students will help build a computer lab and teach english to local elementary school children while learning about the impacts of eco-tourism. You can follow their adventures online.

Co-Curricular Record: Adding your 2012-2013 positions

As we near the end of the year, the time has come to add activity positions you held during the 2012-2013 year (inclusive of May 1, 2012 to April 30, 2013) to your Co-Curricular Record.

To add your activity positions to your record, please:

  1. Sign into the Co-Curricular Record through your Student Centre, or by clicking the login button located on the top right corner of https://leadership.ucalgary.ca
  2. If you login at the URL above, please ensure that you do not have another non-University of Calgary email address/password combination active in your memory cache
  3. Once you are logged in, click on “Add an Activity to My Co-Curricular Record”
  4. Search for the activity position in the “Activity – Quick Lookup” box
  5. When adding your activity position to your record, reflect on what you have learned as a result of your work in the position, and choose 10-12 learning outcome achievement statements
