This topic is researched in both the department of Computer Science, as well as Electrical and Software Engineering. Currently, some members are focusing on immersive control for multi-drone operations. In the past, research has involved the use of schlieren imaging and spectrometric analysis of jet exhausts to identify constituents.

The facilities associated with Flight Diagnostics and Monitoring focus on immersive analytics/control and application engineering for digital surfaces, as well as autocorrelation analysis and spatial statistics.
