Are you receiving an award and completing your degree requirements by the end of the fall 2015 term?

If you are completing your degree requirements by the end of the fall 2015 term, you are not required to be registered full-time in the winter 2016 term to receive the full value of your award. Let us know that you will be graduating by sending an email to ucawards@ucalgary.ca, and then apply to graduate in your Student Centre beginning October 1.

Jason Lang Scholarships

Once your initial eligibility to receive a Jason Lang Scholarship is determined by the Student Awards Office, we will submit a list of nominees to Student Aid Alberta. Student Aid Alberta will confirm your final eligibility, and if you meet the requirements to receive a Jason Lang Scholarship, Student Aid Alberta will send a cheque directly to your home address in December.

If the Student Awards Office is able to clearly determine your initial eligibility to receive a Jason Lang Scholarship, your name will be automatically submitted to Student Aid Alberta for their confirmation. You will receive an email from the Student Awards Office indicating that your name has been forwarded to Student Aid Alberta. No further action is necessary.

If the Student Awards Office is unable to determine your initial eligibility to receive a Jason Lang Scholarship, we will send you an email requesting that you submit an online application form which will be in your Student Centre. Access to the application form will only be given to those students from whom we require additional information. The deadline to submit this form is Sunday, September 27, 2015. Late applications will not be accepted. Students who miss the deadline will be considered during the winter term, and will not receive payment until April 2016 once Student Aid Alberta confirms their final eligibility.

Contact the Student Aid Alberta Service Centre by phone toll-free at 1-855-606-2096.
