Matthew Brister

President, Bison Low Carbon Ventures

Matthew Brister is a UCalgary alumnus (BSc’81) and geologist who has worked in the energy industry for over forty years in western Canada, North Africa and the North Sea. He has served as Chairman or director of >20 companies and founder/promoter of nine energy startups listed in Toronto, London and Oslo. Bison is an Alberta based carbon storage project developer and energy transition commercialization platform. He is also a fellow with the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Rockies.
