Senior Manager, Partnerships and Engagement

Sarah Topps

Sarah Topps has built her career working in the crossroads of innovation and impact, with almost two decades of experience across several industry sectors (including healthcare, education, manufacturing, tourism, international development, mining, and consulting). Sarah is a systems thinker who supports the innovation ecosystem as a leader, connector, strategist, storyteller, and community resource.

In joining the Hunter Hub, Sarah brings deep knowledge of building collaborative partnerships at the local, provincial, and national level, particularly in bridging the gap between industry and academia. However, her favourite aspect of the Experience Ventures program is supporting students across the country to advance their entrepreneurial thinking and build career-ready skills as they enter the innovation economy.

Over the course of her career, Sarah has secured over $14M in funding for entrepreneurial thinkers across Canada, and worked with various levels of government, private industry, non-profits, First Nations, and post-secondary institutions.

Sarah holds two graduate degrees: a Master of Public Health (MPH), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Simon Fraser University, and a bachelor's degree with honours in International Development and Economics from McGill.
