Welcome to the official website of the Civil Engineering Graduate Society (CEGS) at the University of Calgary!

Introduction

The Civil Engineering Graduate Society (CEGS) is a society run by graduate students in the Civil Engineering Department. We are a student group recognized by the Schulich School of Engineering, the Civil Engineering department, as well as the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) as a Departmental Graduate Association.

The CEGS has been in operation since 2008. Our main objectives are to:

  • Provide services and organize events aimed at offering vital information for graduate student success.
  • Provide opportunities for students to network amongst themselves, as well as with faculty and industry members.
  • Collaborate with other departmental graduate associations in organizing joint events to pool resources as well to gain greater knowledge for the greater good of not just CEGS, but the U of C graduate student body in general.
