Embedded Certificate in Mental Wellbeing and Resilience
1. Program Information

For advising, students should consult with the certificate’s Program Co-ordinator or a Program Advisor in the Arts Students’ Centre.

2. Program Requirements

Undergraduate students must successfully complete a minimum of 18 units from the Field of Mental Wellbeing and Resilience while fulfilling the following requirements:

a) Core courses: 9 units: Psychology 203, Mental Wellbeing 300 and 400.

b) Mental Wellbeing and Resilience electives: An additional 9 units from the Field of Mental Wellbeing and Resilience, of which a minimum of 3 units must be at the 300 level or above.

3. Field of Mental Wellbeing and Resilience

The field of Mental Wellbeing and Resilience consists of Psychology 203, all courses labelled Mental Wellbeing (WELL), and those courses flagged as wellness-relevant. A full, up-to-date list is maintained on the website of the Certificate in Mental Wellbeing and Resilience (https://ucalgary.ca/mentalhealth/embedded-certificate).

Many of the courses on the list have prerequisites and some may be in high demand. Registration in these courses is not assured. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that prerequisites are completed.
