Social worker experience of the current environment of child protection (children and family services)

Summary

In summary the research objectives are:
1.To gain information about the current level of stress, burnout and reasons for staying or leaving within the Alberta child protection systems.
2. To inquire about the main issues that are impacting child protection worker turnover and retention
3. To develop the basis for a more intensive research project.

Eligibility

Currently recruiting participants: Yes

Eligible gender: Male, Female, Transgender, Other

Eligible ages: 18 to 70

Accepts healthy participants: Yes

Inclusion criteria:

Current and former workers within the child intervention systems of Alberta. This includes social workers, case managers, child welfare workers, and other professionals who may be working within the child intervention sector (this includes child intervention, family, group and youth care workers serving child intervention clients both within institutional and community settings).
