Perspectives of Cameroon Immigrant Men in Edmonton on Mental Health Experiences and the Role of Ethnocultural Associations in Mental Health and Well-being Promotion
Summary
This study is designed to enable the researcher to learn from Cameroon immigrant men in Edmonton about their perceptions and experiences of mental health and well-being. The study also seeks to discover the role that local Cameroon ethnocultural associations play in the promotion of mental health and well-being of Cameroon immigrants.
Eligibility
Eligible gender: Male
Eligible ages: 18 to 100
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
- Black African immigrants
- Must be born in Cameroon - Africa
- Must identify as male and be at least 20 years old
- Must have been in Canada for at least 5 years and
- Must be affiliated with and active in a Cameroon ethno-cultural association
Exclusion criteria:
- People who do not identify as Black African
- People who do not identify Cameroon as a birth Country
- People who are under the age of 20 years
