Perspectives of Acute Myeloid Leukemia Patients During Initial Diagnosis

Summary

Researchers at the University of Calgary would like to know what people who are recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) understand about their disease when first diagnosed. When people are diagnosed with AML, they receive a large amount of information upfront. During diagnosis people need to make treatment related decisions quickly. The goal of this study is to understand how people with AML understand their diagnosis and make treatment related decisions. Using this information, we may improve patient education and support strategies
