Examining the influence of cooperative play on decision making in emerging adults with a history of suicidal behavior.

Summary

Why are we doing this study?

We want to know if cooperation during social games influences performance on cognitive tests.

We have chosen tests that are important in identifying risk for suicidal thoughts and behaviors. As such, our findings might help us to develop novel suicide prevention strategies.

What would I do?

Participants will be asked to tell us about their mental health. They will also be asked about their suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Participants will then play computer games that measure cognitive function.

How long is the experiment?

2 sessions. Total time of about 5-hours.
Optional: Third session 2-weeks later [additional 1.5-2 hours].
