Determination and Validation of Lung EpiCheck; a Multianalyte Assay for Lung Cancer Prediction, A Case-Control Study

Summary

The study is designed to develop a simple blood test for the early detection of lung cancer in patients at high risk of developing the disease.

Eligibility

Currently recruiting participants: Yes

Eligible gender: Male, Female, Transgender, Other

Eligible ages: 50 to 80

Accepts healthy participants: Yes

Inclusion criteria:

Participants 50-80 years old, with current or past smoking of cigarettes, that meet one of the following criteria may be eligible for this study:

• Participants that are going to have, or have had a low-dose CT for lung cancer screening within 60 days
• Participants with a high suspicion of lung cancer going for biopsy or surgery
• Participants with a confirmed diagnosis of stage I and II non-small cell lung cancer that have not undergone surgery or any other treatment.

Exclusion criteria:

Participants with known diagnosis or treatment of any previous cancer, including lung cancer, in the past 5 years
