Communicating "Un"forgiveness: How Can I Express that I Don't Forgive You?
Summary
Our study will help us learn how someone knows that another person does not forgive them.
If you find this interesting, you can be part of our study that we described below.
Be part of an interview where you will talk to a researcher about a time when you hurt or offended someone that you know well (e.g., family, friend, romantic partner, etc.) and that person did not forgive you. We will ask you to describe what happened in detail, describe your past and/or current relationship with that person, and explain how that person told you that they did not forgive you.
Eligibility
Eligible gender: Male, Female, Transgender, Other
Eligible ages: 18 to 100
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
To be part of the study that you read about above, you need to:
Have not been forgiven by someone that you know well (e.g., family, friend, romantic partner, etc.).
Exclusion criteria:
People who cannot remember a time when they were not forgiven by someone that they know well. Participants must remember a time when they experienced the incident mentioned above to be eligible to participate.
