Congratulations to Masako Shimada

PhD student in Applied Linguistics passes her Oral Field of Studies Examination

On October 19, 2020, PhD student (Applied Linguistics) Masako Shimada passed her Oral Field of Studies Examination. Masako’s written and oral FoS exams centred on Japanese phonology, L2 acquisition of phonology, and pronunciation teaching/pedagogy.

We extend our congratulations to Masako and we express our gratitude to our colleagues for their work with Masako towards this milestone: Mary O’Brien (Supervisor); Wei Cai and Angela George (Supervisory Committee Members); Darin Flynn and Catherine Chua (Examiners); and Ben Whaley (Neutral Chair).
