Research

The Laboratory for Turbulence in Aerodynamics and Flow Control (LTRAC) focused on investigating fundamental and applied problems in turbulence with a using a diverse set of techniques.

Research Areas

LTRAC employs a variety of techniques to investigate a wide range of fundamental and applied problems in turbulence. From experimental campaigns to numerical studies, as a diverse set of researchers each with a unique set of skills, problems including fluid-structure interaction, flow estimation and bluff bodies are investigated using the suitable tool for the problem at hand. Our expertise includes optical techniques such as particle image velocimetry (PIV), lower-order modelling techniques (partial orthogonal decomposition) and turbulent flow modeling. See below for more details regarding current research projects.
