Modular Aerospace Prediction Lab for Engines and Aero Forces

Simulate rocket ascent to orbit
MAPLEAF is a compact, extensible, open-source 6-degrees-of-freedom rocket flight simulation framework programmed in Python. It can simulate realistic ascent trajectories of launch vehicles to orbit.
Software Development Support
MAPLEAF was developed by researchers in the Aerospace and Compressible Flow Research (AERO-CORE) Group at the University of Calgary. Henry Stoldt (MSc student) was the software development leader and hosts the source code on Github. Research results obtained from applying the code to aerospace vehicle flight simulation problems will be provided here.
