The University of Calgary is about to open its first overseas branch campus.The State of Qatar has commissioned the University of Calgary to offer undergraduate and graduate nursing programs in Doha. All programs are delivered to Canadian standards in world-class, state-of-the-art facilities. With generous financial support from the State of Qatar, the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Nursing will begin delivering nursing programs in Doha, Qatar, in August 2007.  We are seeking expressions of interest from people that would like to work at the University of Calgary – Qatar campus.

We are currently looking for people in the following positions:


The Faculty of Nursing in Doha has immediate vacancies for experienced nursing faculty and advanced nurse clinicians who
can contribute to classroom and clinical education. All appointments will be made to the University of Calgary.
Nursing faculty with experience and expertise in teaching in the following areas are preferred:

• introductory nursing courses
• clinical competencies in adult nursing
• nursing aspects of anatomy
• nursing aspects of pharmacology
• health assessment
• adult nursing

Applicants must be registered as nurses with a Canadian registration authority, or an equivalent authority in the United
Kingdom or Australia and must have at least five years’ experience in education or clinical practice in one or more of these
countries. Candidates with master’s degrees in nursing may be eligible for appointment as instructors/senior instructors.
Candidates with PhDs in nursing may be eligible for appointment as assistant/associate professors. Candidates with
bachelor's degrees in nursing and significant expertise in advanced practice may be eligible for appointment as
clinical instructors.
