Graduate Certificate in Pipeline Engineering
1. Credentials Offered

2. Admission Requirements

In addition to the Faculty of Graduate Studies admission requirements, applicants to the Graduate Certificate in Pipeline Engineering are required to meet the following criteria:

  • A four-year baccalaureate degree in engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Note: As per Section A.1 in the Graduate Calendar, in exceptional circumstances, individuals who do not meet formal academic requirements but who have significant life achievement may be considered for admission to this program. The candidate must provide the program director with evidence demonstrating the potential to successfully undertake this certificate program. Such candidates may also be required to participate in an in-person interview with the program director.

3. Application Deadlines

4. Advanced Credit

Advanced credit will not normally be granted towards the Graduate Certificate in Pipeline Engineering.

5. Course Requirements

Students must complete 12 units from the list below, which must include at least one course from each thematic area:

Conceptualization and Design Thematic Area:

Construction Thematic Area:

Operation and Maintenance Thematic Area:

Students must pass each course with a grade of “B-” or higher and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 to progress in the certificate program. Students who receive a grade of “C+” or lower will be given one chance to retake the course, and if they do not attain a grade of “B” or higher they will be required to withdraw.

6. Time Limits

The expected completion time for the certificate is four months for students in the intensive pathway and 16 months for students completing it over two consecutive Fall terms. The maximum completion time is three years.

8. Supervisory Assignments

A Coordinator is assigned to each cohort in the Graduate Certificate in Pipeline Engineering.

9. Financial Assistance
