A. FACULTY OF ARTS REQUIREMENTS

Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements in 3.3.2 Honours Degrees.

B. MAJOR-FIELD WITH HONOURS REQUIREMENTS

Students must successfully complete a minimum of 54 units to a maximum of 72 units in Courses Constituting the Field of German while fulfilling the following requirements:

  1. Core Courses:

  2. Survey Courses: 3 units German 200, 317 or 369.

  3. Honours Thesis: 3 units German 591.

  4. German Options: An additional 39 units from Courses Constituting the Field of German with a maximum of 6 units from German 357, 359 and a maximum of 6 units from courses labelled Language.

C. DEGREE OPTIONS

The BA Honours German can be taken with Co-operative Education. See section 3.3.8 Co-operative Education Programs for information and requirements.

Note: A maximum of 6 units from German studies in a different discipline, subject to approval by the School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures, may be credited towards the major field requirements.
