SUCCEED Kids

Summary

Children with autoimmune diseases and autoinflammatory conditions may be at risk of disease flares in response to immune system triggers, including vaccines. With this in mind, it is not clear whether there might be significant side effects or flares in children with autoimmune diseases after receiving a COVID-19 vaccination. In addition, it is not clear how medication use, such as biologic therapy, in children with childhood arthritis may affect the response to COVID-19 vaccinations.

Our team of researchers believes that studying childhood arthritis is key to providing better patient care, as well as improving quality of life and health outcomes of children suffering with these conditions.
